Lynn is a bassist who recently retired from the Portland (Maine) Symphony. She is also a bass bow maker and restorer and is very active in the conservation of woods used in making stringed instruments and their bows. Join us on Sunday 26th May at 5pm (BST) when she will be talking about these woods and what we can all do to protect and restore these precious and threatened species. She will also discuss what you need to know to best care for your existing bows including learning the signs that it’s time for a rehair and what types of hair are available to meet your playing style.
