At Bessy Bass, we believe that music is for EVERYONE — and that the earlier we begin our musical journey, the better!

Created by double bassist, music educator and author May Halyburton, Bessy Bass invites children under 12, their families and educators to explore the wonderful world of music through stories, sounds, creativity and fun.

Through books, music and creative activities, Bessy shares her adventures, introduces her musical instrument family and friends, and celebrates the incredible power of music to bring people together.

Along the way, children explore kindness, inclusion, friendship and self-confidence, as they discover different instruments, nurture their musical curiosity and maybe even find the instrument that’s right for them!
